Kershaw Trooper Dagger Model 1007, serial number 0357, mint in the box with leather sheath is a very early production model made over 30 years ago. The mint dagger is 9-3/8" overall. Double-edge blade without blood grove. Drilled for a lanyard, can be lashed to a pole to serve as a survival spear. Flat on the butt to allow for pounding on the handle. The original leather sheath is in excellent condition with scuff marks. It is dated January 1979 and the mint presentation case still has its cardboard slip cover and unused engraving plate.
Mint in the box and dated January 1979 It has the original typed card with the real Pete Kershaw signature on it. Sometime later photocopies of this card with the date and month put in by hand were used. The later cards do not have a genuine Pete Kershaw signature but have a copy of his signature. Some time after Pete’s retirement on May 31, 1998, the cards stopped having any kind of Pete Kershaw’s signature on them. This is the oldest and best one we have ever had. This knife comes from the owner of Cutlers Cove personal collection and he says it was purchased from a individual around 1993. Like most other items people collect the lower serial numbers help in value but if any part of the complete set is missing like the box or dated signed card the value goes down. Of course mint is the most valuable when it comes to condition. So the older the knife and the better the condition and the more complete the set the better the value.
