Gerber 475HS Presentation Grade Hunting knife near mint, high speed steel blade with original premium grade leather sheath in the original early green and white box. It has never been sharpened with very, very light use. It is 9-3/4" overall with finger grooved Ebony hardwood handle. It has the Rockwell indent mark of 62 and HS on the tang of the high speed steel blade with thumb rest on the spine of the blade. Probably from the early production of this series of knives in the 1970's. Made in the U.S.A. Also marked on the original early green and white box 475HS Ebony handle.

High speed steel HS Presentation Grade Hunting knife, not stainless steel

This model was next to the largest in the series and is a great skinning and general camp blade. This is only the second high speed steel HS Presentation Grade Hunting knife made by Gerber we have had to sell since we started in business in 1991. Not common as most where stainless steel! If you are a fan of high speed steel get it before its gone.

They were almost custom hand made knives produced in a factory!

Extra-strong blades are precision ground to a razor sharp, double-wedge shape and boast a super-hardness of Rockwell C60-62. Special industrial hard-chrome plating keeps these high speed tool steel blades bright and stainless through the demanding use for which this series was designed.

The Presentation Grade hunting knife series was Gerber's top of the line hunting knives until about 1995. There were five models starting with the smallest model 400, 425, 450, 475 and going up to the largest 525.
