How to use and navigate our sites.
CutlersCove.com has three type of pages:

The Main Pages are the first level pages of
the site.

The Sub-Main Pages are the second level pages
of the site.

The Product Pages are the third level pages
of the site.
On the Cutlers Cove Website, you'll notice a simple
index along the top, left and bottom.
Simplified? Yes. While the CutlersCove.com navigation bars
might look very complex, they only link to a small number of the total
pages. With so many knives and articles, it would be impractical to
list every possible page down the side. Many of the links along the
top and side link to further indexes of articles and knives. This
hierarchy allows CutlersCove.com to neatly organize and categorize
content. Read on for more details.
The Main Pages have buttons on the top,
text links on the left
side and about 7 rows of text links along the bottom of the page. The Main
Pages are the top pages in the layout of the site. All other pages are
deeper in the site. Examples of the Main Pages are the Welcome page as
seen below in the thumbnail image, the Folding Knives page, the Fixed
Blade Knives page, and What's New page. All the buttons on the
Welcome page are
links to more Main Pages.

The Sub-Main Pages and Product
List Pages have buttons on the top and
about 7
rows of text links along the bottom of the page. The Sub-Main Pages
are the second level pages in the layout of the site. Examples of the Sub-Main Pages are the Jack
Knives Product List page as seen below in the thumbnail image, the Bowie
Knives page, the Pen Knives page and Hunting Knives
page. The buttons on the Sub-Main Pages are links to more Sub-Main Pages
and Main Pages.
Each Sub-Main Page
has 6 to 12 blocks or tables that have small photos and a short description of the
item for sell. The small photo is a link to a single page (Product
Page) that has at least one
large image and a complete description that goes with the product on
that page. At the top and bottom of each Sub-Main Page is
a set of links like this:
(Page 1-2-3-4),
which is a way to go forward or backward to the next set of products for
sale.

The Product Pages do not have
buttons on the top. They have 2 rows of text links along the bottom of
the page. The Product Pages are the third level pages in the layout
of the site and are the last level in the site. An example of the Product
Pages is the Case stag clasp page as seen below in the thumbnail image.
The arrow button on the Product Pages is a link back to the page you
just came from or sometimes back to the Site Map. Each Product Page has at least one
large image and a complete description that goes with the product on
that page. The Product Pages include the price and other information like the order number.

Most pages have similar buttons and links on the bottom
of the page that look like these:

The Back Button will send you back
to the page you came from or to the Site Map. The e-mail this page to a
friend! Button will start your e-mail program and automatically put a live link in
the body area of your e-mail and the following in the subject line: A
Cutler's Cove Knife Emporium link from a friend. The Next Button
will send you to the next page if there is one. The Back to Top Text
Link will send you back to the top of the page you are on.
Important pages on the site to help you navigate
easily:
The Site Map Button is a link to the
page that is the Table of Contents of the complete site.
The Site Search Button is a link to the page were you can
search the site for a type or brand of knife that you are looking
for with out going from page to page hoping to find what you are
looking for. It will save you time!
The
yellow CutlersCove.com
logo on the top of each page is a link back to the
Welcome
page. So if you ever get lost just click the yellow logo and you will go
back to the Welcome page of our retail site. The Welcome page is not
the Home page of CutlersCove.com, but is very good starting point
for the site. Remember to refresh your pages often, to make
sure you're getting the latest that is on each page.
