large USA flag printed on the outside and includes the papers. List price in 1996 was $46.95 for
the standard model.

On the front side of the blade but not seen in the photo below is printed Premier Edition 1996 and on the back side is printed Pete Kershaw's signature. If I understand correctly Kershaw is again making the 3000 series back in Japan today. Therefore there may never be any more made in the USA. The USA made models had a different steel in the blade and the shape was less round than the Japanese models. The rear of the handle was larger on the USA models.
