LapLink Gold 11 new in
the compact box with CD. The software has not been used or registered and
the box has not been opened. The box is still sealed and has a Best Buy
price of $99.99 on the box. We do not have any cables to go with this
product. The cables are available from LapLink's web site.
You're allowed to install it on three machines—typically, a
home PC, an office PC, and a laptop. The box is the black plastic type
5-1/4" X 7-1/2" X 1/2". I talked to LapLink (see

and they said this software can upgrade to the latest version at no
additional cost because it is not that old. The LapLink Gold 11.5 update
(which is the latest) is only available for registered owners of LapLink
Gold 11.x. Go

question is how much does it cost to upgrade LapLink Gold 11 which is
XP compatible to the newest 11.5? The box I own has not been opened so
therefore I do not know the serial number. I purchased the software
with a new computer in the month of Dec. 2002 and it says on the box
that it is Gold 11 and XP compatible. Also how much is a USB 2.0

Gold 11.5 is a free point-release to registered Laplink Gold 11 users.
You can request the update here:

Adam: There are
built-in driver files for the Gold USB network cable. Laplink Gold
11.5 will be required to be installed on both machines to make use of
these new drivers.
Adam: Laplink's
Gold USB 1.1 cable supports USB 2.0 ports at the slower 1.1 speeds.
The IOGear model GUN202 High-speed USB 2.0 cable is also supported,
but it no longer being manufactured by IOgear. Laplink Software Inc.
is currently evaluating other High-speed cable options at this time.
